True and Piercing Beauty
The main idea of this project was to connect with something that you found true or beautiful in the novel Brave New World and produce a piece of writing and a creative art piece to coincide with that writing. For this project, I actually read four different dystopias: Brave New World, Delirium, Matched, and All These Things I've Done. I chose to create an art and writing piece to encompass all four of these novels. If I assured a world with no responsibilities, Would you recognize the freedom? ...... to read more of this poem, click here. We are no longer unknown. We are the outcomes, predicted endings, Of logarithms and equations. We are probabilities and percentages. Likelihoods and calculations. We are who they say we are.
