Issue Brief
An issue brief details the background history of an issue, as well as possible solutions, United Nations involvement, questions to consider, and bloc positions. Here is a sample of the issue brief that I wrote:
"Discrimination against the Jewish population dates back all the way to 63 BCE, when Rome dominated Judea. The Jews revolted to regain their independence, but the revolt was squashed by the Romans before anything could happen. Even in 638 CE, when the Muslim Army conquered Palestine (formerly Judea), the Jewish population continued to revolt against the unfair treatment. When the Jews were expelled from Europe because of racial hostility in 1492 and given the choice of converting, relocating, or being killed, thousands of Jews moved to the Ottoman Empire. In 1881, when Jews fled Eastern Europe to Palestine, the concept of Zionism was founded. Zionism is a movement which sought to establish a Jewish state in the Land of Israel."
